Penyiaran luar Outside broadcasting (OB) adalah produksi
bidang elektronik electronic field production (EFP) dari program televisi atau
radio (biasanya untuk mengcover berita televisi dan acara olahraga) dari studio
siaran televisi mobil jarak jauh. Sinyal kamera video dan mikrofon profesional
disiarkan ke truk produksi untuk pengolahan, merekam dan transmisi. Produksi
ruang kontrol portabel (PCR) dikenal sebagai "truk produksi",
"scanner" (istilah BBC), "unit mobile", "truk jarak
jauh", "hidup siaran langsung", "OB van" atau
"truk pandangan mata" . Di Indonesia sebuah "OB van" lebih
kecil dalam ukuran dari sebuah truk produksi dan umumnya memerlukan dua atau
tiga orang di lapangan untuk mengelola. Misalnya, menyiarkan jurnalisme wartawan
memberikan siaran langsung televisi atau berita lokal di lapangan luar studio
televisi formal.
